Die besten Eheberater kommen aus der Primarschule

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?

  • You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
    — Alan, age 10
  • No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you’re stuck with.
    — Kirsten, age 10

Ein Mann hat drei Freundinnen

Heiniger-Net Posted on Thursday February 2nd, 2012 by DanielThursday February 2nd, 2012

A man is dating three women and wants to decide which to marry. He decides to give them a test. He gives each woman a present of $5000 and watches to see what she does with the money.

The first does a total make-over. She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, new make up and buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much. The man was impressed.

The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much. Again, the man is impressed.

The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5000. She gives him back his $5000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much. Obviously, the man was impressed.

The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money, and then he married the one with the largest breasts.

Two Babies Talking in the Womb

Heiniger-Net Posted on Sunday January 15th, 2012 by DanielSunday May 1st, 2016

The source of this text about two twins, a skeptic and an optimist, is Pablo J.Luis Molinero, and it is in his book “Morphogeny”.

Two fetuses talk to each other in the womb. One is a believer and the other is not.

Atheist baby: And you? Do you believe in life after birth?
Believing baby: Sure. It is obvious that there is life after birth. And we are here precisely so we can get strong and ready for what awaits us after that.
AB: It makes no sense. There is nothing after birth. Can you imagine what life after birth might look like?
BB: Well, I don’t know all the details. But over there, there will be plenty of light, plenty of joy. And, for example, we are going to eat with our mouths over there.
AB: What nonsense! We have our umbilical cord that feeds us. And yet, no one has returned from that other life. By birth, life is simply ended.
BB: No! I don’t exactly know what life after birth is like, but we will definitely see our mother and she will take care of us.
AB: Mother? Do you believe in mother?? And where is she?
BB: But she’s everywhere! She surrounds us! Thanks to her we live, and without her we are nothing. She takes care of us at every moment.
AB: This is absurd! Have you ever seen her? Me neither! So she obviously does not exist. And if she does exist, why doesn’t she manifest herself?
BB: Well, I do not agree. Because, sometimes, when everything is quiet, then you can hear how she sings … feel how she caresses our world … I am sure that our real life begins after birth.
AB: Well, I’m convinced that there is nothing after birth. That is all irrational.

Tolle Musiker

Heiniger-Net Posted on Saturday January 7th, 2012 by DanielSaturday January 7th, 2012

It is a perfect studio recording of five people performing a great acoustic (“unplugged”) version of Gotye’s great chart racing song “Somebody that I used to know”. Then they came up with an idea of how to visualize the song in a video and performed? that as well. I applaud WOTE! An absolutely stunning performance. Well done!

Mac gegen PC

Heiniger-Net Posted on Monday January 2nd, 2012 by DanielMonday January 2nd, 2012

Linux and Unix actually aren’t the same thing. Mac OS is Unix after Steve Jobs took a big dump on it, then once you buy an $800 PC for at least $1200, he takes a dump on you.

I understand that you are bitter about the financial raping instilled on you, so feel free to call me a gamer with no life despite knowing nothing about me. I’m sure you need the win there.

And the reason for the reliability of Macs is not a good thing. Nobody bothers to give Macs viruses for the same reasons nobody bothers to go to war with Canada. They suck anyway, they aren’t significant, and even if you did both people who care would be tools.

Any virus takes resources to develop, so why would you not go for the target with a bigger reward. Suppose Fort Knox and the cookie jar had equal security. Which would you steal from? There is no amazing security behind Macs, PCs are just bigger targets because they matter.

Other problems with PCs are generally due to the user being an idiot, and due to the large market share we also have a large idiot share. PCs leave virtually every setting open to the user to modify. Often times, the user doesn’t know his shit and screws things up. Macs give you no power and thus its hard to mess things up. Think about how much damage you could cause locked in a playpen vs. locked in The Pentagon.

My XP computer of five years got exactly 0 viruses without even installing an antivirus because I wasn’t an idiot who clicked every popup and downloaded 2kB movies off of LimeWire. The biggest problems PCs have are the users, the uninformed of which seem to be switching to Macs. Have fun, all the engineers and scientists which make any real progress in the world will still be here using PCs.

Grossartiges Stop-Motion-Video

Heiniger-Net Posted on Wednesday November 9th, 2011 by DanielWednesday November 9th, 2011

This is a great stop motion video, and I like not only the nice music and the sweet girl, but also the way the movie was made. The singer is called Kina Grannis, her song is called “in your arms”. I haven’t heard of her before, but I think she must be observed in the near future.
