I will glad­ly take my vis­it­ing guests, wish­ing to see some nice sides of Switzer­land, to one of these tours

Easy one-day touristic excursions from Zürich:

  2. Col­lect­ing mush­rooms in the ger­man black for­est / vis­it­ing a trout farm
  3. Fox­town fac­to­ry stores out­let cen­ter Men­dri­sio (Google Map), vis­it to italy, if time avail­able, vis­it to Swiss Minia­ture
  4. Rigi, the queen of the alps (Google Map) — near Lucerne
    — car to Vitz­nau, (68.-) cable­car to Rigi and back
    — car to Lucerne, (120.-) boat to Vitz­nau, cable­car to Rigi and down to Weg­gis, boat to Lucerne
    — car to Lucerne, (110.-) boat to Vitz­nau, cable­car to Rigi and down to Art-Goldau, train to Lucerne
  5. Lucerne (Google Map) — maybe includ­ing steam boat ride on the lake of lucerne (addi­tion­al fare prices apply)
  6. Berne, the cap­i­tal of Switzer­land (Google Map)
  7. High alps, three pass­es tour: Susten (2264 m), Grim­sel (2165 m), Fur­ka (2436 m), Devil’s bridge
  8. Inter­lak­en / Lauter­brun­nen + (expen­sive) Cable­way somwhere high up, such as Schilthorn (102.-) orJungfrau­joch (205.-)
  9. Out­door muse­um Bal­len­berg (more for long-term visitors)

Short tours to the environments (afternoon trips)

  1. Zurich Down­town / Bahn­hof­s­trasse shopping
  2. Zurich, Tour of old town
  3. Zurich Zoo
  4. Bud­dhist Cen­ter Zurich, Seefeld (Google Map)
  5. Uetliberg above Zurich (Google Map)
    — 17.20 for S10 tick­et (15 min walk)
    — free with car (1 hour walk)
  6. Bruno Weber Park Dietikon, muse­um of spooky phan­ta­sy figures
  7. Restau­rant Hasen­strick, Bach­tel, with nice view into the alps
  8. Wat Sri­na­garindravararam, Gret­zen­bach (Google Map), Thai Tem­ple (1 hour car ride)
  9. Bär­glistüber water­fall, Can­ton Glarus, Klausen pass road (Google Map), 1.5 hour car ride. Bet­ter yet, take the whole Klausen pass route to Kan­ton Uri and Axen­strasse back, along the lake of Lucerne.
